Quaccent (Quack + Accent) is a dual-mode communication system. It combines tonal avian vocalisations with the Reed-Script, a geometric stick-based script.
The spoken component relies on the relationship between the short Quack and the long Quaar.
| Concept | Sound Pattern | Inflection/Tone |
|---|---|---|
| Yes | Quäck-Quäck | High, sharp (Staccato) |
| No | Quack-Quack | Low, flat/gravelly (Low-bar) |
| Walk | Quāck-Quāar | Mid-tone, steady (Level) |
| Swim | Quáck-Quáar | Rising “gurgle” (Ascending) |
| Bike Ride | Quäck-Caw-Caw | Rhythmic staccato clicks |
| Car Ride | Quack-Quack-Caw | Low vibration |
| Come Here! | Quāar-Quàck! | Mid start to sharp falling drop |
| Where? | Quáar-Quáar? | Rising pitch (Ascending) |
| Danger! | Quáär-CÄW! | Explosive and harsh |
| Love | Quāck-Trrr-lōō | Melodic warble |
| Duck (Noun) | Quāck-Quāck-Hāh | Natural rhythmic quack |
| Rat (Noun) | Quäck-Squaw | High, pinched staccato |
| Seagull (Noun) | Quāck-Kree-Yáh | Piercing, sliding upward |
| Crow (Noun) | Quack-Caw-Caw | Deep, throat-heavy rasp |
The Reed-Script is a physical script. All messages are oriented by the North Stick (the longest branch), which serves as the “anchor” for reading directions.
Living creatures are identified by their “Beak” markers (using ^, v, <, > shapes).

Simple geometric arrangements for actions and objects.
| Concept | ASCII Glyph | Visual Logic |
|---|---|---|
| Love | X | Two paths intersecting |
| Treasure | [X] | Value protected in a box |
| Protection | /_\ | A sturdy peaked nest |
| Wait/Stop | — | A horizontal barrier |
| Left | / | Leaning toward the North Stick |
| Right | \ | Leaning away from the North Stick |
| Walk | vv | Two feet, bipedal |
| Swim | /\/ | Water surface ripples |
| Bike | [vv] | Two feet push down |
| Car | [==] | Tires, aerial view of car |
To build a sentence, place the North Stick at the top. Arrange the Subject below it, followed by the Action or Direction.
Example: “Seagull, Go Left” (Command) Vocalisation: Quāar-Kree-Yáh (Rising end)
| (North Stick)
\^/ (Seagull)
\ (Direction: Left)
Example: “Protection for the Rat” (Observation) Vocalisation: Quāck-Squäw-Kaww
| (North Stick)
/^\ (Rat)
/_\ (Under Protection)
Example: “Duck Swim Right” (Statement) Vocalisation: Quāck-Quāck-Hāh-/\/
| (North Stick)
\v/ (Duck)
/ (Direction: Right)
