Yivalese Font + Ruby Extras

This page demonstrates the ``yzruby`` plugin syntax.

Yivalese font wrappers

Supported aliases:

  • Ancient: {{yzitalic|text}}, {{yzold|text}}, {{yzancient|text}}
  • Present: {{yz|text}}, {{yzreg|text}}, {{yzregular|text}}, {{yznormal|text}}
  • Modern: {{yzbold|text}}, {{yzmodern|text}}, {{yzfuture|text}}

Optional size is the third argument: ``tiny``, ``small``, ``normal``, ``big``, ``huge``.

Examples:

  • {{yz|Dywlxn Ny}} → DxWr Ny
  • {{yzregular|Dywlxn|big}} → Dywlxn
  • {{yzmodern|Dywlxn}} → Dywlxn
  • {{yzfuture|Dywlxn|huge}} → Dywlxn
  • {{yzancient|Dywlxn|small}} → Dywlxn

Ruby syntax

  • Standard: {{ruby|DXWR|Suram}} → Dywlxn(Suram)
  • Shorthand: %Dywlxn|Suram% → Dywlxn(Suram)

Auto ruby tables

Use {{autoruby}} around a simple pipe table. The first column is the base text, the second column is the 1:1 reading, and the third column can stay as the gloss or meaning.

{{autoruby}}
^ base ^ reading ^ meaning ^
| El Mu | Me-here Worm-here | I am a worm |
| Eli mwi | Me-hither Worm-hither | I want a worm |
{{/autoruby}}

basereadingmeaning
El(Me-here) Mu(Worm-here)Me-here Worm-hereI am a worm
Eli(Me-hither) mwi(Worm-hither)Me-hither Worm-hitherI want a worm

Notes:

  • If a row has more base words than readings, the leftovers stay plain.
  • If a row has a header row with ``^`` cells, it stays a normal header row.
